At the end of this course, the students;
- The student can identify the fundamental parts of an internal combustion engine (piston, crankshaft, cylinder block, etc.), explain their materials, and describe their basic functions accurately.
- The student can calculate essential engine performance parameters such as engine power, torque, and compression ratio, and interpret the effects of these values on engine performance.
- The student comprehends the operating principles of the engine's cooling, lubrication, and fuel delivery systems and understands their roles in improving engine efficiency and durability.
- The student understands the basic engineering principles used in engine design, can evaluate how modern technologies like turbocharging contribute to engine performance, and possesses fundamental knowledge about future engine technologies.

| Course Description | Engine Design" is a course at the vocational school level that aims to teach students the fundamental design principles and components of internal combustion engines. In this course, students learn about the functions, structures, and interrelationships of engine parts such as pistons, crankshafts, and cylinder blocks. They also gain basic knowledge of the design of auxiliary systems, including cooling, lubrication, and fuel delivery systems, which are intended to improve engine performance, as well as modern engine technologies. By the end of the course, students will have the theoretical and practical foundation to work in positions such as engine technician or design assistant, which are needed by the industry. |
