About the Programme
General Information
The Automotive Technology Program at Başkent University Kahramankazan Vocational School offers a two-year (associate degree) education for students who have completed their high school education. Students can gain admission to our program based on their scores from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), which is part of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the Assessment, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) of the Republic of Türkiye.
The Automotive Technology Program has a total quota of 32 students, with 6 full scholarships (100%) and 26 half scholarships (50%) available. Our students benefit from these scholarships throughout their education without interruption.
The program is conducted within the framework of the "3+1" Workplace Practice Education Model," which focuses on applied training to prepare qualified technicians who meet the needs of today's business world. Within this model, students spend their final semester working in sector-related companies, gaining valuable field experience and taking strong steps toward their careers after graduation.
Additionally, with the newly implemented "Candidate Technician" system, second-year students who have compatible course schedules and are willing can work in companies 2 to 3 days a week during the fall semester, gaining practical industry experience while continuing their studies.
To graduate from the program, students must successfully complete all required courses and achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00. Graduates also have the opportunity to continue their academic education by transferring to bachelor's degree programs through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by ÖSYM. Throughout this process, career planning and guidance services are also provided to our students.
