Course Description
This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of diesel engines by focusing on their unique characteristics, advantages, and potential disadvantages. Unlike spark-ignition engines, the theoretical and practical operating principles of diesel engines are examined in detail, with particular emphasis on the high-pressure compression ignition mechanism. In addition, the course offers an in-depth analysis of the fundamental components of diesel engines, common-rail injection systems, and other auxiliary subsystems that enhance efficiency. Through this approach, students gain a complete understanding of the complex structure and operation of diesel engines.
