Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Learn research planning and literature review methods
  2. Gain the ability to create and apply data collection tools
  3. Analyze data using correct statistical methods
  4. Learn to present their applied research effectively
  5. Learn to present their applied research effectively
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
PrerequisitesYes(NUT377)
Recommended Optional Programme ComponentsYes (BES77 - BIOSTATISTICS)
Course DescriptionThis course, which aims to develop students' skills in generating, using, and evaluating information, addresses biostatistics and research methods together. Initially, it covers general information about research, research designs, data collection tools, their validity and reliability, and scientific report writing. Following this, basic sampling methods, statistical interpretation, estimation methods, and hypothesis testing are examined. The course will also cover writing research reports and effective presentation techniques. The first semester's courses are conducted using the SPSS software package. By the end of this course, students will have the ability to independently plan and write research proposals, implement research (data collection and analysis), and write research reports.
