Course DescriptionThis course aims to approach human history not only through political events and economic transformations but also in the context of human intellectual, artistic, scientific, and social productions. In this course, students examine the transformations of human history in fields such as religion, philosophy, science, art, law, and literature, spanning from the birth of civilization to the present day. Individuals, classes, and institutions that have been the carriers of cultural production are analyzed along the timeline from Ancient Greece to the Middle Ages, from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment, and from the French Revolution to modernity. The course aims to help students develop the ability to question and critically assess the historical origins of the cultural structures they live in today, beyond just understanding the past.
