Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Explains the scope of spatial graphics (interior/exterior, environmental identity, wayfinding, information design) within its conceptual and historical context.
  2. Analyzes human-environment interaction according to target user profile and spatial flow; applies accessibility and legibility criteria.
  3. Develops a wayfinding and signage strategy suitable for the design problem for the selected spatial scenario.
  4. Constructs two-dimensional (pictogram, typography, color system, map/plan, info panel) and three-dimensional (totem, signs, surface applications) designs as a holistic system.
  5. Makes applicable design decisions by considering material, printing/production, and assembly details (scale, durability, maintenance, cost).
  6. Defends the environmental graphic system in a professional presentation and critique environment
