Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

Acquire knowledge on devolopment of sign language around the world and history of Turkish Sign Language (TSL).
Learn of TSL fingerspellingand and TİD basic signs of using daily life.
Learn TSL concepts of grammer and structure.
Communicate with hearing-impaired individuals by using the TSL.

Course Description

History, alphabet, grammar, basic sentence structure and signs of Turkish Sign Language. Learning to communicate in Turkish Sign Language at a basic level.

3^rd Week	Alphabet of TSL.
4^th Week	TSL basic sentence, structure, signs of using in daily life.
5^th Week	TSL pronun, short basic open/closed-ended questions and answers.
6^th Week	TSL positive-negative, structure of order and question.
7^th Week	Time expression in TSL
8^th Week	Midterm
9^th Week	Numbers in TSL
10^th Week	Signs of basic verbs in TSL
11^th Week	Signs of basic health in TSL
12^th Week	Signs of basic transportation and vehicles in TSL
