Profile of the Programme
The Masters Program with thesis is completed in two years, comprising four academic semesters. Students take compulsory and elective courses during the first two semesters and complete their thesis work during the final two semesters. Each academic semester consists of at least 14 weeks. Courses are offered on a semester basis, except for the Social Work Thesis, and have no prerequisites. According to the Başkent University Graduate Education, Teaching and Examination Regulations, instructors are required to administer at least one midterm examination and one final examination in each academic semester. Assignments, projects, laboratory work, and similar activities may be assessed in lieu of a midterm examination.
