Explains the main stages of the assessment and intervention process in family counseling. Develops intervention plans appropriate to the needs of families. Applies fundamental interviewing and intervention skills used in the family counseling process.

Course Contents

2^nd Week	Application intake, initial interview, and counseling contract
3^rd Week	Establishing the therapeutic relationship and fundamental interviewing skills
4^th Week	Assessment of the family?s structure, functioning, and needs
5^th Week	Use of genograms, family maps, and other assessment tools
6^th Week	Identifying problems and determining intervention goals
7^th Week	Developing a family-specific intervention plan
8^th Week	Midterm
9^th Week	Fundamental intervention techniques in family counseling
10^th Week	Interventions aimed at communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
11^th Week	Intervention process with families experiencing crisis
12^th Week	Monitoring and evaluation of the intervention
13^th Week	Termination, follow-up, and referral processes
