Course DescriptionThis course is an interdisciplinary design studio that approaches ceramics not merely as a traditional production material, but within the contexts of visual communication, experience design, sustainability, and emerging technologies. Students utilize clay as a contemporary design medium that communicates, narrates, conveys data, and shapes user experience. Throughout the studio process, material exploration, experimental fabrication, biomaterials, digital modeling, AI-assisted design, augmented reality (AR), 3D ceramic printing, and public art interventions are examined together. The course guides students toward developing creative and critical solutions for future design challenges.
