Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Evaluate oxidative stress formation processes by learning basic information about free radicals.
  2. Evaluate the mechanisms of the antioxidative defense system in response to free radicals by learning the basic information about antioxidants.
  3. Interpret the oxidative damage status in biological systems using the knowledge learned about the measurement methods of reactive species.
  4. Interpret the relationship of nutrition, disease and aging processes with free radicals and antioxidants.
