At the end of this course, the students;
- Analyze the functional roles of microorganisms in food, agriculture, environment, clinical and industrial fields comparatively and evaluates them according to sectoral requirements.
- Interpret microbial growth kinetics, metabolism, ecological interactions and antimicrobial resistance mechanisms quantitatively and qualitatively from experimental data (OD, CFU, zone diameter, pH, gas production, etc.).
- Explains and evaluates the principles of biosynthesis of microbial products (enzymes, secondary metabolites, fermentation products, biomass) and basic process control parameters in the context of industrial production.
- Discusses current microbiological strategies such as antimicrobial resistance, microbial consortia, strain improvement and genetic approaches, and One Health within the framework of quality, regulation and sustainability
- Structures and defends experimental data in scientific report and technical presentation format, taking into account laboratory safety, quality control and regulation principles (GMP, HACCP, ISO, etc.).
