Course Description

Revealing the usage of Turkish in different professions (doctor, lawyer, worker, craft, farmer etc.) by different examples; evaluating this language variation in terms of sociolinguistics, pragmatics and semantics and researching how to train people who are learning Turkish as a foreign language.

4^th Week	Language competencies and communication skills in professional Turkish

6^th Week	Grammatical and discourse features of professional Turkish
7^th Week	Oral communication and interaction skills in professional Turkish
8^th Week	Written communication and professional text types in Turkish
9^th Week	The relationship between academic Turkish and professional Turkish
10^th Week	Teaching Turkish for specific professional fields
11^th Week	Methods and techniques in teaching Turkish for professional purposes
