At the end of this course, the students;
- Define environmental noise, basic principles and definitions related to noise
- Differentiate betweensoundandnoise, explains sources and types of noise
- Explain effects of noise on human health and its negative effects on physical, physiological and psychological wellbeing as well as human performance.
- Explain legal norms, signed articles and regulations on environmental noise
- Define control measures and techniques for environmental noise
- Explain principles in developing noise maps and action plans.
- Define sound pressure measurement, measurement and monitoring systems
- Explain actions to be taken for workers who are exposed to noise in workplace
