Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Explain the embryological development of the auditory system
  2. Explain genes associated with non-syndromic hearing loss and their effects on hearing.
  3. Explain the syndromes associated with hearing loss and the general characteristics of these syndromes.
  4. Interpret audiological findings in genetic hearing loss.
  5. Interpret the intervention methods in genetic hearing loss.
  6. Explain the issues to be considered in terms of genetic counseling in genetic hearing loss.
