Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Know the objective tests (ABR, ASSR, OAE, Immittance) used in audiological assessment.
  2. Know how to use the electrophysiological equipment for the assessment of the auditory system.
  3. Learn to establish a relationship between the results obtained from behavioral and electrophysiological tests.
  4. Learn the general features and application areas of tests used for evaluating auditory pathways at the central nervous system level.
  5. Perform an audiological evaluation and hearing aid fitting based on objective test results.
  6. Gain electrophysiology skills for professional practice in audiology.
Mode of DeliveryFace to face

Course DescriptionThis course aims to provide the principles and application methods of objective tests within the audiological assessment battery. The theoretical basis, clinical applications, and interpretation of tests that evaluate different levels of the auditory system (cochlea, auditory nerve, brainstem, and auditory cortex) using electrophysiological methods are examined in detail.
