At the end of this course, the students;
- A student will be able to explain how the potential difference created by a battery in a circuit leads to the flow of charge within the system.
- Students will be able to solve problems using Kirchhoff's Laws in series and parallel circuits.
- Students will be able to simplify a circuit using the Superposition Theorem in two-part circuits.
- Students will be able to simplify a circuit using Thevenin's Theorem in two-part circuits.
- Students will be able to calculate the equivalent capacitance, voltage, and current for series and parallel connected capacitors.
- Students will be able to calculate the inductance, voltage, and current for series and parallel connected inductors.
- Students will be able to calculate the impedance in series and/or parallel electrical circuits connected to alternating current (AC) sources.
- Students will be able to classify diodes according to their types and explain their function in a circuit.
