Course DescriptionThe main aim of sustainability concept is to achieve harmony between human needs and natural systems, while ensuring user comfort in environmental, climatic, functional, social and cultural terms. Contemporary interior design should focus on the importance of psychological factors such as visual, auditory, aesthetic, health and social behavior as well as the functional requirements of the user. The main objective of this course is to discuss, analyze and examine the relationship between sustainable interior design and the user's functional-aesthetic comfort. In this course, it is aimed to investigate and analyze the physical and psychological requirements that provide the user's sustainable comfort in interior design. In this context, it is aimed to make a situation assessment on the design elements and spatial organization used in contemporary interior design and then to examine and investigate the functional-aesthetic comfort of the user in these interiors.
