At the end of this course, the students;

1. Explain the concept of occupational health and safety, and evaluates the occupational health and safety culture,
2. Interpret the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, evaluates the obligations of employers and employees, and distinguishes the rights and responsibilities of employees,
3. Interpret the concepts of occupational accidents and occupational diseases, evaluate the measures that should be taken to prevent accidents, and make predictions about common occupational diseases,
4. Interpret hazards, risks, the risk control hierarchy, risk assessment stages, and risk analysis methods,
5. Evaluates noise, vibration, lighting, electromagnetic fields, chemical substances, routes of exposure, and safe working methods,
6. Explain biological factors, prevention methods, hygiene rules, ergonomics, workplace organization, and musculoskeletal disorders,
7. Explain electrical hazards, grounding, protection against electrical accidents, causes of fire, types of fire, fire extinguishing equipment, the concept of emergency, emergency plans, evacuation and assembly procedures.
