Course DescriptionThis course covers the fundamental principles, methods, and industrial applications of joining technologies performed on a micro scale. The course examines the definition of microjoining, its application requirements, and various microjoining techniques. The working principles, application areas, and material compatibility of methods such as ultrasonic joining, laser welding, electron beam welding, controlled resistance welding, TIG welding, and soldering are discussed. Furthermore, by evaluating the micro-scale joining of electronic components, next-generation technological parts, and different material pairs (metal-metal, metal-ceramic, metal-polymer), the course aims to equip students with knowledge of advanced joining technologies and the ability to select appropriate methods.
