At the end of this course, the students;
- Identifies TIG welding equipment (machine, torch, tungsten electrode, gas) and sets it up correctly.
- Explains the operating principles of TIG and submerged arc welding. Selects weldable materials and achieves a proper weld bead by selecting the appropriate welding parameters.
- Applies occupational health and safety rules for TIG and submerged arc welding.

| Course Description | This course covers the basic principles, equipment, welding parameters, and application techniques of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and Submerged Arc Welding methods, both theoretically and practically. The course examines welding applications for different types of materials, the determination of appropriate welding conditions, occupational health and safety regulations, the prevention of welding defects, and quality control methods. The goal is for students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to apply these welding methods which are widely used in the industry safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards. |
