Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Explain the working principles, equipment, and systems of oxy-gas and resistance welding methods, and distinguish their industrial applications, advantages, and limitations.
  2. Identify and compare appropriate welding parameters, joint types, and filler materials used in oxy-gas and resistance welding methods, and demonstrate knowledge of occupational health and safety rules.
  3. Identify welding defects that may occur in oxy-gas and resistance welding,analyze their causes, and explain defect detection methods.
