Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Perform vector algebra operations and define the concepts of force and moment.
  2. Carry out basic strength calculations (tension, compression, torsion, bending) and calculate the center of gravity.
  3. Draw free-body diagrams of particles and rigid bodies in equilibrium, formulate and solve equilibrium equations.
  4. Analyze the strength of welded joint elements.
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
PrerequisitesNo
Recommended Optional Programme ComponentsNone
Course DescriptionThis course aims to teach the fundamental principles of statics and strength of materials required for Welding Technician. By learning force equilibrium, internal forces, and basic strength calculations, students will be able to evaluate the safety of welded structures and apply this knowledge in practice.
