Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Are equipped with the skills necessary to conduct an experiment.
  2. Develop a critical and analytical perspective on experimental methods.
  3. Can select and apply appropriate statistical analysis for different experimental designs.
  4. Develop understanding about the ethical rules to be followed while conducting an experiment.
  5. Can report an experimental research.

Course DescriptionThe purpose of this course is to teach the students the doctorate level information about experimental design. The course will involve sample selection, types of experimental design, the properties of participants and experimenters, the frequently encountered problems/mistakes in experimental design and their solutions. The students are expected to design and successfully conduct an authentic experiment in the course. Also, another aim of the course is to implement and keep up with the worldwide trends for experimental research.
