Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

Gain knowledge about the development and current structure of the insurance and private pension sectors in Turkey and the world.
Acquire theoretical knowledge of life insurance and understand the practical workings of life insurance.
Learn about the actuarial basis of life insurance.
Gain theoretical knowledge of personal accident insurance and understand how these policies work in practice.
Acquire theoretical knowledge of social security and private pension systems and understand how the individual pension system functions in practice.

Course Description

This course will cover the development and current structure of the insurance and private pension sectors in Turkiye and the world; the course will also provide information on the theoretical foundations and practical applications of life insurance, personal accident insurance, social security, and private pension systems. Additionally, the health insurance markets in Turkiye will be discussed.
