All areas of life sciences fundamentally investigate living organisms and their relationships with one another through the questions of why and how. Molecular Biology and Genetics is a field of life sciences that examines living organisms structurally and functionally at the molecular level. In recent years, the completion of the genetic codes of various organisms, including humans, has accelerated studies in the fields of life sciences and biotechnology.
The Master's Program in Molecular Biology and Genetics aims to train specialists with a scientific foundation and perspective, capable of applying knowledge and findings in molecular biology and genetics for the benefit of society in the fields of health, food, and agriculture.
The Department of Molecular Biology has laboratories suitable for educational and research purposes, equipped with the essential devices needed in the field of molecular biology and genetics, as well as animal and plant tissue culture laboratories. The department's infrastructure supports the use of fundamental molecular biological techniques and the culture of animals, plants, and bacteria. Additionally, the infrastructure of our university in health and engineering fields will facilitate multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary studies to be conducted within the program.
