At the end of this course, the students;
- Know different types of fetal and adult stromal tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells, and their isolation and characterization methods.
- Have a good knowledge of cell and molecular biology of mesenchymal stem cells, their usage in the field of bioengineering and regenerative medicine.
- Gain experience in literature search, presentation and discussion of current research articles or reviews about mesenchymal stem cells.
- Have scientific knowledge to create a research project about mesenchymal/stromal stem cells.

| Course Description | Molecular Biology of Stromal Stem Cell course gives information about the molecular biology, development, and behavior of different types of mesenchymal stem cells derived from fetal and adult stromal tissues. Also, it covers potential therapeutic applications of stromal/mesenchymal stem cells in the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. It also describes the laboratory techniques that are used during stromal stem cell research. |
