About the Programme

Key Learning Outcomes

  1. PO1Taking into account the developmental characteristics and individual differences of the individuals for whom psychological counseling and guidance services are provided, plans applications using different psychological counseling and guidance methods and techniques and implements them in a way that supports the development of individuals.
  2. PO2By understanding the structure of the Turkish Education System, it designs school-based comprehensive, developmental and preventive psychological counseling and guidance services by taking into account individual differences and needs, and carries out the practices in cooperation with all stakeholders (students, teachers, administrators, parents, etc.).
  3. PO3Understands the basic philosophies of educational sciences and uses its basic principles and theoretical infrastructure in psychological counseling and guidance services.
  4. PO4Selects, adapts, develops and applies measurement and evaluation methods, techniques and tools in psychological counseling and guidance services by evaluating their suitability for needs.
  5. PO5Creates lifelong development goals for professional and personal development and selects and uses strategies appropriate to his/her goals in his/her actions.
  6. PO6With a lifelong learning perspective, by using effective learning strategies, he/she follows interdisciplinary scientific and current information related to his/her profession from national and international sources and develops appropriate strategies for the problems he/she encounters in his/her field.
  7. PO7It carries out all its services in the field of psychological counseling and guidance in accordance with scientific and professional ethics and the law.
  8. PO8Communicates effectively by using appropriate language in psychological counseling and guidance services.
  9. PO9Uses appropriate resources and tools by developing digital competencies in psychological counseling and guidance services.
  10. PO10In psychological counseling and guidance services, analyzes the help needs of the client(s), conceptualizes based on theory, determines appropriate strategies and interventions, initiates, maintains, terminates and monitors the process appropriately.
