At the end of this course, the students;

Gains knowledge of current approaches and models used in the psychological counseling process.
Explain the basic concepts of different approaches and models related to psychological counseling.
Knows the techniques and intervention methods of different approaches and models related to psychological counseling.
Becomes aware of the necessary conditions for the active use of different approaches and models in the counseling process.

Course Description

The aim of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of different approaches and models that are based on classical counseling theories and are actively used in counseling processes. In this course, psychoanalytic approaches and models, learning-based approaches, humanistic approaches, postmodern approaches, approaches influenced by eastern philosophy, holistic approaches and models are included.
