Course Description
In this course, basic statistical concepts and issues related to the use of statistical techniques at a basic level and applications in social sciences research are discussed. At the end of the course, students are expected to develop basic concepts related to statistics, calculate descriptive statistics and standard scores and interpret them within the scope of normal distribution properties, summarize the data with appropriate graphics, perform correlation, simple linear regression analysis, test hypothesis tests with z and t distributions in one and two sample groups and interpret the results, decide on the appropriate statistical analysis to answer the research question and interpret the results by performing the analysis through appropriate statistical package programs.
