Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Understand stress, strain, and loading types,
  2. Gain the skill to calculate stress and deformation under axial loading, conduct experiments, and analyze the results,
  3. Gain the skill to analyze stress and deformation under bending, conduct experiments, and analyze the results,
  4. Gain the skill to perform stress and deformation analysis under transverse loading,
  5. Analyze stress and deformation under combined loading and apply the Mohr's circle method to the solution of complex engineering problems,
  6. Gain the ability to analyze and design power transmission shafts under torsional effects,
  7. Understand the calculation of slope and deflection in beams.
