Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Apply vector operations to solve static equilibrium problems and construct clear and accurate free-body diagrams for rigid body systems,
  2. Analyze statically determinate trusses, frames, and simple structural systems,
  3. Develop internal force diagrams (axial force, shear, and bending moment) for statically determinate structures,
  4. Calculate centroids and moments of inertia of two-dimensional objects,
  5. Develop the ability to work independently and demonstrate self-learning skills in the field of engineering mechanics.
