Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Identify the formation processes and fundamental properties of geological materials (minerals, rocks, etc.),
  2. Explain the effects of geological processes (internal and external dynamics) on the structure of the Earth and engineering properties,
  3. Interpret the significance of geological materials and processes in civil engineering applications,
  4. Analyze processes such as rock deformation, surface and groundwater movements,
  5. Read and interpret topographic and geological maps and cross-sections to identify landforms and geological units.
