Course DescriptionHumankind, having met its basic physical needs, inevitably faces existential problems. In this context, to both fulfill its own self-actualization and satisfy its need to find answers to unexplained phenomena in nature, it begins to create its own answers. In this context, mythology begins to emerge as a projection of humanity's collective unconscious. Myths, which have emerged over the ages as part of the human survival instinct, not only possess profound meanings but also possess the quality of their fictional narratives on the surface, allowing us to glimpse the depths of the human psyche. Such a rich material, of course, has not escaped the attention of the visual arts, and myths have been among the most frequently used themes for many art forms throughout the ages.
