About the Programme

General Information

Molecular biology and genetics is a field of life sciences that examines living organisms structurally and functionally at the molecular level. The aim of the Molecular Biology and Genetics Graduate Program in English is to produce graduate students who can conduct research in accordance with societal needs, possess competitive strength in national or international arenas, and contribute to the increase of high-quality R&D and 'know-how' studies. The program accepts applications from graduates of various undergraduate programs with a theoretical and practical background in basic molecular biology/biology, as well as from fields related to life sciences and relevant engineering and health sciences. Due to the nature and historical development of the discipline, the language of communication and information sharing in graduate education is accepted worldwide as English, and the program language is 100% English.

In the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, there are 2 professors, 2 associate professor, 7 faculty members, and 6 research assistants conducting studies in the field of molecular biology. The research areas of the faculty members include cancer molecular biology, plant molecular biology and biotechnology, applications of nanotechnology, conservation genetics, stem cells, tissue engineering, and the development of molecular diagnostic kits. The master's program will offer elective specialization training based on the research interests of the students.
