Course DescriptionThis course covers the fundamental physical principles, hardware components, and clinical application areas of medical imaging systems. The operating mechanisms, image formation processes, and performance parameters of major imaging modalities such as Magnetic Resonance (MR), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), Angiography/X-Ray systems, and Nuclear Medicine are examined. The curriculum delves into modern imaging technologies, device architectures, data processing methods, and current engineering applications used in the sector. Furthermore, the course addresses service operations, maintenance processes, fault management, product management, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and the technical?operational dynamics and sustainability requirements of the healthcare sector. Throughout the course, content related to device inspections, case studies, and real-world application scenarios is provided through sessions conducted with industry experts.
