About the Programme
General Information
The Department of Biomedical Engineering began offering undergraduate education in the 2001?2002 academic year. As of 2026, the department employs 7 professors, 1 associate professor, 10 assistant professors, and 7 research assistants on a full-time basis.
Başkent University's English threshold policy and the fact that the language of instruction in the program is at least 30% English ensure that each student graduates by reaching a sufficient professional English level in their field.
Our senior students can complete their graduation projects in their 7th and 8th semesters within the framework of university-industry cooperation. Some projects are supported by TÜBİTAK. All projects are introduced to industry representatives with the Graduation Projects Exhibition.
Our students can benefit from the ERASMUS program offered by European Union member countries and gain experience abroad.
