Course Description

This course has two parts. In the first part, it will focus on material bulk structure characterizations such as IR, Raman Spectroscopy, Xray diffractions, Polarisation techniques, refractometry and conductivity measurement (DC or AC). In the second part, it will focus on biocompability tests and encourage student learning in the field of biocompatibility, with emphasis on understanding biological responses to the broad range of invasive medical devices and materials available.
