Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Learn the basic principles of digital signal processing and properties of the discrete-time signals.
  2. Learn the sampling theorem and perform mathematical operations to convert the analog signal to a digital signal.
  3. Learn the analysis of discrete-time linear time-invariant systems.
  4. Learn discrete-time systems defined by difference equations and can calculate the system output.
  5. Learn the z-transforms, the inverse z-transform and the proportional z-transform and perform the analysis of linear time-invariant systems using these methods.
  6. Learn frequency analysis of the continuous and discrete-time signals.
  7. Can calculate the frequency response of linear time-invariant systems.
  8. Can do laboratory experiments related to a one-dimensional signal by applying the theoretical knowledge learned in the course.
