At the end of this course, the students;
- Gain knowledge about the basic concepts and institutions of law.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge about concepts such as justice, free will, legal action, sovereignty, contract, and legal personality.
- Learn legal doctrines and their theoretical and historical foundations.
- Recognize different legal cultures.
- Understand the fundamental characteristics of Anglo-American legal culture.
- Understand the fundamental characteristics of Continental European legal culture.
- Compare the common and different aspects of legal and ethical thinking.
- Distinguish between descriptive and normative statements.
- Analyze the elements that construct dogmatic legal knowledge.
- Recognize institutional phenomena.
