At the end of this course, the students;

Analyze the basic concepts of sociology in the context of everyday life.
Discuss theories of sociology of everyday life.
Approach critically to everyday life through the concepts of power, reproduction, consumption, alienation and individual.
Interpret the effect of social changes on daily life.
Critically evaluate the concepts of work, leisure time, and daily life.

Course Description

This course aims to explore the sociology of everyday life both theoretically and empirically with a critical point of view. It focuses on different theoretical approaches as well as different field studies examining the establishment of everyday life by questioning the individual-society, from both micro-macro perspectives.
