At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Knows the importance of mother-child health
  2. Knows the anatomy and physiology of the female and male reproductive systems
  3. Have knowledge about newborn, baby and child care.
  4. Know infectious diseases that mother and child may encounter
  5. Have sufficient information about family planning.
  6. Cinsel yolla bulaşan hastalıklar hakkında bilgi sahibi olur.
  7. Defines the basic principles of first aid
  8. In a situation that requires first aid, provides fast and appropriate evaluation by ensuring the safety of the patient and the injured.
  9. Determines the priority of the individual / individuals requiring first aid.
  10. Decides about the appropriate first aid application for the individual
  11. Carries out first aid application in accordance with the situation of the individual / injured.

Course DescriptionWithin this course it is aimed to define mother-child health, the state of child health in our country and in the world, the formation of pregnancy, child development in the womb, the effects of illnesses and accidents on the child's development, physical development (teeth, height, weight) and follow-up of 0-6 years old children, family planning it is aimed to obtain information about basic first aid.

2nd Week Reproductive System Anatomy-Physiology, Pregnancy and Birth
3rd Week Pregnancy and Birth-continued, Practice Group Work
4th Week Infant and Child Nutrition, Growth and Development in Preschool Period, Application Group Work
5th Week Immunization and Vaccines, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Application Group Work
6th Week Parasitic Infections, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and HIV/AIDS, Application Group Work
7th Week Basic Concepts in First Aid, Evaluation of the Scene, Evaluation of the Patient and the Injured, Application Group Work
8th Week 1ST MIDTERM EXAM
9th Week Hemorrhages, Injuries and Shock, Foreign bodies in the body and cavities, Poisoning and First Aid, Animal Bites, Stings and First Aid, Application Group Work
10th Week Patient / Injured Transportation Techniques, First Aid in some diseases (heart attack, diabetes, etc.), Burns, Electricity and Sunstroke, Application Group Work
11th Week Basic Life Support (Adult), Basic Life Support (Child, Infant), Respiratory Tract Obstruction, Drowning, Application
12th Week Loss of Consciousness and Coma, Epileptic seizure, First Aid in Fractures, Dislocations and Sprains, Application Group Work
