Course DescriptionBasic information about writing education (basic concepts, historical process etc.), physical and mental processes of writing skills; writing and memory-talking relation; stages of written expression, narration at the level of sentence / paragraph / text; creation of textuality criteria (consistency, consistency, etc.); text types, written expression (debatable, persuasive, informative, aesthetic writing etc.); writing methods and techniques; process-based, planned writing models; teaching punctuation and writing rules; training environments for writing skills; measurement and evaluation in writing education; writing activities.

1st Week Fundamental concepts of writing instruction; writing problems and their causes
2nd Week The relationship between writing skills and other skill areas
3rd Week Stages of text production and modes of expression
4th Week Types of writing and academic writing
5th Week Internal and external structural features of writing; teaching spelling and punctuation (in relation to linguistics and grammar); assessment criteria for student papers and relevant symbols
6th Week Writing instruction methods: controlled writing, free writing, guided writing; research- and inquiry-based writing activities
7th Week Writing strategies, methods, and techniques (continued); analysis of examples from textbooks
8th Week Midterm Exam
9th Week Sub-skills influencing writing ability and higher-order skills developed through writing
10th Week What is creative writing? Developing creative writing skills
11th Week Evaluating writing activities in textbooks (activities); designing a writing lesson (presentations)
12th Week Evaluating writing activities in textbooks (materials and assessment); designing a writing lesson (presentations)
13th Week Evaluating writing activities in textbooks (learning outcomes); designing a writing lesson (presentations)
14th Week Developing a writing assessment scale
