Course DescriptionGeneral characteristics of Turkish Literature in the Republican Period, literary movements and literary schools that emerged in the period. Examination of major works from literary genres such as stories, novels, poems. Introducing the main literary figures of this period with their distinctive characteristics. Analyzing the Works belonging to this period and showing characteristic features and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.
Course Contents
WEEK TOPICS
1st Week Introduction to the course, introduction of the curriculum, general characteristics of Turkish literature in the Republican period.
2nd Week Developments in the Turkish literature of the Republican period until the 1940s (Memleket Edebiyatı, Beş Hececiler, Yedi Meşaleciler); Turkish novel and storytelling, introducing the main literary figures of these literary schools with their distinctive features, analyzing literary texts and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.

8th Week Midterm.

10th Week Garip Movement; introducing the main literary figures of this literary school with their distinctive features.
11th Week Modern Turkish storytelling and novel, analysis of literary texts and their evaluation in terms of Turkish education.

13th Week İkinci Yeni Poems; introducing the main literary figures of this literary school with their distinctive features.
