Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Explains fundamental concepts related to system analysis and design and learns the role and working methods of a system analyst.
  2. Gains the ability to analyze the scope, limitations, and user roles of an information system.
  3. Develops the ability to express user needs as functional and non-functional requirements.
  4. Can model requirements using Use Case diagrams and data flow diagrams to demonstrate system behavior.
  5. Can explain the basic data structure and components of a system using ER diagrams and simple design models.
  6. Understands the relationship between analysis and design outputs by creating basic interface templates that support system requirements.
  7. Gains the ability to prepare and present analysis and design documentation for a narrow-scope information system.
