Course DescriptionSIBU443 is an undergraduate elective course on international migration policies. Currently, migration can be considered as one of the most important agenda items not only in Turkey but almost all over the world. Therefore, although it is as old as human history, this course focuses on migration movements in the 20th and 21st centuries. The main objective of this course is to analyze the causes and types of global migration and its political, economic and cultural consequences both nationally and internationally. The course will also examine migration as a state policy and familiarize the student with different migration policies, especially in the context of security and integration.
