Course DescriptionThe primary objective of this course is to equip students with the necessary managerial knowledge and strategic awareness regarding the administration of auditing processes within enterprises, by conveying the fundamental pillars of the management's oversight function. The phenomenon of auditing spans all levels and functions of an organization, providing crucial assurance to both internal and external stakeholders. The findings and assurance levels derived from audits provide invaluable insights into a wide array of managerial dimensions, including management quality, organizational performance, operational efficiency, strategic and tactical action priorities, the adequacy of internal control systems, enterprise risk management culture, regulatory compliance capacity, and structurally or functionally improvable areas. Therefore, the effective management of the audit function emerges as a fundamental imperative for the sustainable success of contemporary enterprises. Within the scope of this course, students will learn the planning, execution, and evaluation phases of corporate auditing within a framework of managerial integrity and acquire essential competencies that can be utilized across various professional domains. Up until the midterm exam, the course will cover core theoretical knowledge through research-oriented and discussion-driven methods based on contemporar corporate events. Following the midterm exam, students will reinforce their theoretical foundation and awareness through applied studies, and they will present their real-sector oriented audit projects in class prior to the final exam. Consequently, by the end of the semester, all students will have elevated both their theoretical and practical competencies in audit management to the targeted level from an organizational wholeness perspective. Students who miss more than 30% of total class hours receive an F2 grade.
