At the end of this course, the students;

  1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
  2. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
  3. A knowledge of contemporary issues
  4. An ability to use the modern engineering techniques.
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
PrerequisitesNo
Recommended Optional Programme ComponentsNone
Course DescriptionTreatment of elastic, plastic and creep deformation under steady and cyclic loads. Emphasis on approximate solutions which enable the prediction of service performance from simple tests. Failure due to fatigue, creep rupture and plastic instability. Treatment of fracture from engineering point of view.
