Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

Will be able to analyses the philosophies, theories and researches on teaching in nursing and learning
Will be able to assess the appropriateness/compatibility of the teaching strategies for theoretical/classroom and clinical practice according to philosophy of curriculum, aims, course objectives and learning needs.
Will be able to discuss the nursing literature on traditional and modern strategies for evaluation of learning, tools, using the evaluation tools and self-evaluation.
Will be able to perform the leadership and facilitator role for a group of students in classroom and clinical practice learning
Will be able to evaluate their own performance as a teacher, facilitator in nursing care and student education.

Course Description

The aim of this course; to provide students with basic concepts, theories and philosophies related to education and training, to show the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation of education and to teach the teaching techniques used in these stages.
