At the end of this course, the students;
- Learning of the basic concepts and principles of law of obligations, commercial law and labor law.
- Identify the main types of business medium.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the key characteristics of businesses run as sole traders.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the key characteristics of businesses run in partnership.
- Identify in broad terms where the risks of business failure lie.
- Discuss ethical standards as applied to contracts.
- Summarize the elements of a valid contract.
- Explain the elements that invalidate a contract.
- Compare the rights of parties with privity to the rights of third parties to a contract.
- Explain how a contract can be terminated and the available remedies.
